No visit to Connemara would be complete without a visit to Killary Harbour where you will find Killary Cruises. The Céide Fields in North Mayo will certainly give you a unique experience. For this is not just another archaeological monument or visitor centre. Here you can indulge yourself in a vast prehistoric landscape, a natural wild ecology of blanket bog, dramatic cliffs and coastline, and a much acclaimed building, which has received Ireland's most prestigious architectural award.

As well as the magnificent historical and cultural aspects Westport House and Country Park has to offer, there is also a wide range of other fun attractions and facilities (suitable for a variety of age groups) available to the day visitor.

The Story of Knock began on the 21st August 1879 when Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared at the south gable of Knock Parish Church. The apparition was witnessed by fifteen people, young and old. From this miraculous occurrence Knock has grown to the status of an internationally recognised Marian Shrine.
Croagh Patrick is renowned for its Patrician Pilgrimage in honour of Saint Patrick, Ireland's patron saint. It was on the summit of the mountain that Saint Patrick fasted for forty days in 441 AD and the custom has been faithfully handed down from generation to generation.
Through the ingenious Historical Woollen Mill Tour you can experience life in post-famine Mayo: the poverty and deprivation of the people will astound you. A unique feature of the Historical Woollen Mill Tour is the opportunity to watch skilled crafts people produce the world famous Foxford rugs, blankets and tweeds.

The National Museum of Ireland - Country life is the latest addition to the National Museum of Ireland and is the first branch of the National Museum to be situated outside Dublin. Located just outisde Castlebar, Co. Mayo. The exhibitions portray the lives of ordinary people who lived in rural Ireland in the period 1850 – 1950.

Picturesque Kylemore Abbey is the home of the Benedictine nuns. The gothic castle was built by Mitchell Henry, an English businessman in 1865. After the tragic death of his wife about a decade later he lost interest in the estate and it was eventually bought by the Benedictine order The grounds and part of the Abbey are open to the public.

Quiet Man Cottage Museum is a novel concept which will give the visitor a total Quiet Man experience as if they were actually 'on-set'. Located by the river at Circular Road, Cong, between actual locations used for the filming, the ground floor of the cottage has been designed as an exact replica of 'White-o-Mornin' Cottage.
